Mickie James discusses the impact Trish made

During WWE's last visit to Chilie and Mexico, current Women's Champion Mickie James appeared on Chilean television to discuss many topics, including Trish.

Trish Stratus?

Trish is my friend. Actually, anytime we are in Canada I try to catch up with her and see her. When she retired we left on good terms. You know I respected & admired her alot. She definitely made an impact for women in this industry.

Why did she make a big impact?

When she came in, obviously she wasn't a wrestler, she was more of a valet and she is just pretty; she was a fitness model, but she worked really hard and trained in order to become a wrestler and then at times she became a Women's Champion. And then definitely for that generation of women, such as myself, gave us something to aspire to and even try to overcome like you know now the deal is to try to make an impact just as big as perhaps she did or Lita did. I think everybody makes their mark and you can only hope to make your own mark.

Working with her?

Obviously to be able to win the Women's Championship from Trish Stratus after being in such a long angle and having so much time put into that angle was amazing, plus it was my very first WrestleMania and my very first time winning the Women's Championship so it was alot of fun.
