Trish crowned 'Diva of the Decade'
The World in Times Square was host to the RAW 10-year anniversary special, which aired live on Tuesday night. Many RAW and SmackDown superstars as well as fans were in attendance for the award show and celebration of a decade of RAW. The evening kicked off with the first category of "Diva of the Decade" presented by Shawn Michaels. The nominees included: Sable, Sunny, Chyna, Lita and Trish Stratus. And the winner was ... Trish Stratus!
Trish accepted her award with some humbling and appreciative words. She first thanked the Fabulous Moolah for "opening the doors the women walk through today" and went on to acknowledge Sunny and Sable for bringing sex appeal and glamour to the business, and Chyna for "cementing the fact that women can do it in the ring". She thanked Fit Finlay for his help in bringing the women's division to where it is today. Trish then dedicated the award to all the divas and recognized the fact that it is a team effort to carry the women's division. Trish concluded by thanking the fans for their support.
