Press Release: Trish Guest Appearing at Caroline Rhea's Gala
Montreal Monday, July 11, 2004 - Festival Loto-Québec Just For Laughs presented in association with Labatt Bleue is thrilled to announce World Wrestling Entertainment® Superstar Trish Stratus as a special guest at the gala hosted by TV sensation and hometown favourite Caroline Rhea, at the St-Denis Theatre Friday July 23 at 7:00 P.M.
This Canadian darling and five-time WWE Women's Champion almost never came to the world of sports-entertainment, as her dream was to practice medicine. A teacher's strike at her university caused a shift in her interests and the fitness model found herself in the ring with World Wrestling Entertainment. Now, no stranger to the stage, Trish has appeared on numerous television shows. She debuted on Monday Night Rawâ„¢ in March 2000 and quickly shot to fame as one of the most decorated divas in WWE history. Trish has also appeared on MADtv, alongside wrestling stars Chris Jerichoâ„¢, Big Showâ„¢ and Eddie Guerreroâ„¢ in the deliriously funny sketch Jay Walking Mania. And over the last five years, Trish has joined the panel of TSN's Off the Record on several occasions.
Trish joins Rhea's other guests including Mitch Hedberg (Comedy Central: Live tour), Adam Ferarra (ABC's The Job), Greg Fitzsimmons (winner of the Jury Award for Best Stand-up at The U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen), Ryan Bellevile (Late Show with Craig Kilborn), Maggie Cassella (Because I Said So) and more.
