Pizza

Pizza crust ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup self-rising white flour
  • (If you do not have self-rising you can substitute All Purpose White Flour but you will need to mix it with 3/4 teaspoon baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt)
  • 1/2 cup plain fat free Greek Yogurt
  • (I recommend Fage Total 0% Nonfat Greek Yogurt)
  • Extra flour for kneading and rolling out dough
  • (1/4 cup should be enough)

Pizza toppings (use as much or as little as you wish):

  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Red sauce of your choice
  • (Any bottled or canned spaghetti, marinara, or plain tomato sauce will do)
  • Toppings of your choice
  • (e.g., Pepperoni, Green/Red/Yellow Bell Peppers, Mushrooms, Pineapple, Black Olives, Broccoli, halved Cherry Tomatoes)

Miscellaneous supplies needed:

1. Mix flour and yogurt together in a bowl with a spoon or fork.

2. Place dough on a clean table, mat, or cutting board dusted with flour. Sprinkle remaining extra flour on top of dough. Knead dough with your hands until no longer sticky.

3. Stretch dough with your hands or roll out with a rolling pin into your desired shape and thickness.

4. Spray pizza pan or baking sheet with Pam.

5. Place dough on the pizza pan or baking sheet.

6. Add red sauce to the center of dough (as much or as little as you wish).

7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top of the red sauce.

8. Place your toppings on top of the mozzarella cheese. You can use them to make a funny face, picture, or words.

9. Bake pizza in the oven at 425 degrees F for 11-12 minutes. Check on it after 10 minutes to make sure it is not cooking too quickly. It is done when the crust is lightly browned.

10. Remove from the oven and enjoy!
