Join Trish at Reunion of Giants documentary
November 11th is one of the most important days on the North American calendar. Both in Canada (Remembrance Day) and the U.S. (Veterans Day), it is a day to pay homage to those who sacrificed their lives for their countries and freedoms.
With the support of Cineplex Theatres across Canada, hundreds will have the opportunity to commemorate the efforts of the Royal Canadian Air Force and RAF Lancaster squadrons from the United Kingdom with the screening of a special documentary, Reunion of Giants.
Reunion of Giants tells the story of the reunion of two Avro Lancaster bombers, that hadn't been flown side by side in 50 years. The two massive aircrafts were brought together for a special voyage last year.
"In the summer of 2014, the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum's Avro Lancaster, VeRA, flew from Hamilton, Ontario to meet her British counterpart, Thumper—the only other surviving flight worthy Lancaster bomber in the world—the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's (BBMF) Lancaster in England," the film's website explains.
There will be a simultaneous premiere at theatres across Canada during Remembrance Day, including in Toronto where Trish Stratus will join her close friend Morgan Elliott, whose company Suddenly SeeMore Productions created the incredible event and documentary. Elliott is thrilled to see the time and devotion to this project come to the big screen.
"It's wonderful to see our hard work paying off," Elliott said. "We are thrilled that Canadians will be able to watch this documentary in honour of all those who served and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom."
