Trish Stratus LJN tribute ranks among top WWE toys

WWE's listmakers were back at it on August 30th, as they counted down the top 30 figurines in the company's history, with Trish Stratus coming in on the list with perhaps her most iconic statuette.

On the list was Trish's Jakks Pacific "LJN Tribute" figure. Created in 2009, the piece was part of the extremely popular Classic Superstars series (#23 to be exact) that spanned several years. Over the course of its time on store shelves, Classic Superstars featured WWE Legends and Hall of Famers in both action figures and a scarcer hard rubber version that paid homage to the popular 1980s LJN toys.

Stratus' figure, which features her in her signature entrance pose, is easily the most popular of these figures and came out #14 overall on WWE's list.

"The Trish Stratus figure freezes the WWE Hall of Famer in her signature entrance pose, letting the WWE Universe know that she was THE top Diva," the writers said of the Stratus figure.

The actual moment is taken from her triumphant return after recovering from a herniated back injury she suffered months before. The champion returned to assist Ashley Massaro and she swiftly ended the harassing of Victora, Candice Michelle and Torrie Wilson, reminding them and the crowd that she was back to take care of 'bidness'. The figure wears a tank top based on her WWE Shop t-shirt which proudly proclaims the bombshell a "100% Ass-Kicking Babe".

Trish herself counts it as one of her favorites. "I grew up with those LJN figures. I vividly remember seeing them on store shelves around Toronto and of course, scattered around my living room at home," she says. "When this figure first came out, I was blown away by how accurately they had captured the moment. I thought it was the perfect blend of 80s cartoon and modern detailing."

The LJN tribute figures also included the likes of Undertaker and Shawn Michaels among others.

Fans wanting to get the LJN figure can now find it on eBay and will soon have a new chance to get Trish for their collection, with her first Mattel figure hitting stores in November.
